The human brain is hardwired for survival and to avoid pain at any cost. anything new or unknown will be engaged by our minds at lightning speed, our brains will acknowledge the situation or thing, and place it under thorough scrutiny, before giving the ok to move on with it! However, fear can be overridden by both mental justification and verbal affirmation. An example of mental justification would be a scenario of such... A person who is trapped in a car that is on fire needs to be removed from that imminent danger, although, if you attempt to extract that person, you will be burned! This is where verbal affirmation comes in... life over the limb (verbal affirmation)! You may get burned in the process of extracting that person from that vehicle, on the other hand (justification), that individual's life will have been saved at the expense, of a few burns and scars to your body! You see, the mind has these safety measures in place and they are an emotional experience, they can be overcome simply by saying... go ahead fear, do your worst because the truth is, it will either happen or not but no matter how the fear makes you feel, it is an emotion and it will never be able to change the outcome! Fear of change
There was a wise man who had once said... Unless you change how you are, you will always have what you've got! Although, you can always have more than what you got now because you can always become more than what you are! Change can be a very good thing and especially when it comes to your environment. Again, like the fear of the mind written above, you will always remain in the same place you are now if you don't believe in yourself, and leap, just launch and get on with it! Believing that you have the capabilities, to endure whatever comes your way good or bad is a mindset of solidarity, and when the time comes, that you have this mastered, you will ask yourself what took you so long! Remember, if you take the chance and it doesn't work out for you, well then, at least you tried...Although, what if it does work out for you? Fear of failing
You can never fail at something unless you give up... you can only identify what didn't work! Having a fear of failing before you even attempt something, is one of the biggest limiting beliefs a person can have! Unless you are truly able to predict the future, there is no way you can know for certain that something won't work! Having a limiting belief such as a fear of failing will keep you mentally isolated from ever moving forward in this incredible opportunity that we all share...LIFE! Every single person on earth has a hidden extraordinary talent yet waiting to be discovered, so instead of looking at what can go wrong, try looking at what can go right! Former NHL pro, Wayne Gretsky had once said, that you will miss 100% of the shots you never take! We have to agree with him on this one. Fear of criticism
Under no circumstances ever be afraid of criticism, criticism is a beautiful thing! It gives us vital informational feedback, as to what we are doing right and wrong, it allows us to understand other people's points of view and more importantly, gives us a ton of new ideas to incorporate within our plan and greatly increase our chances of success! It will be your perception alone that separates you from being able to accept criticism in a constructional way or in a defeating way that of which you will never recover from! Have you ever questioned yourself, as to why you are ok with some things but not with all things? Our minds allow us the opportunity to make decisions, so if you choose to make a decision, that you will see the beauty in everything you can, instead of picking and choosing what is good or bad, right and wrong... you will be much better off! Criticism is the practice of judging the merits and faults of something or someone. Criticism is an evaluative or corrective exercise that can occur in any area of human life and it happens everywhere and especially to those who leap first! So if you are going to create something new or do something first, embrace the criticism that comes with it!
